Would running everyday help me lose weight faster then running every other day?

It sounds obvious that running everyday would help me lose weight faster but ive ran 3 days straight about a mile each day and today i wasn’t sweating much and my legs got swore.faster then i expected.Does it mean i need to rest an extra day?Will i lose weight faster every day or every other day?

I’m no pro, but my opinion is that you should run every other day. You don’t want to be too hard on your body. If you’re getting sore faster, my guess is that you’re already sore, so you need to take a bread. Of course, it will take longer to lose weight.

Just so you know, when you exercise and get sore, it actually burns weight faster because your body has to use more energy to repair the muscles, so getting sore isn’t bad, but it does have its limits.

Can you combine lemon detox ingredients with a normal diet to lose weight?

I’m 17, 125lbs (57kg) and 5’7. I want to lose weight, but since I live with parents at home with cooked meals etc, making healthier choices at mealtimes is mostly out of my hands. And I can hardly not eat anything and go on the lemon detox diet for 3 days.

So will drinking each day something like half cup water, half cup squeezed lemon juice, and a teaspoon of cayenne pepper help me? Is its effect minimal and not worth it?

I’m in the same boat! I’ve decided to eat more in the mornings, less in the evenings, I pretty much have stopped eating after 5pm and begin to drink the lemon detox every time I get hungry. I try to eat a lot of fiber rich food in the mornings, fruits, veggies, and little carbs! Plus, during the day I spread out little portions of food so I’m never really hungry, and along with the lemon drink, i drink fruit juice as well, or snack on a handful of cheerios, just drink a lot of water so your body can get ride of the water weight, I divide my weight in half and that is the amount of ounce of water i need to drink a day. I’ve been only doing this for about a week, but feel better. You can do it!

Nothing to do with miles , to lose weight you need to get to an energy deficit so your body burns fat that happens for most people after about(approx) an hour, get a heart monitor and run for an hour with your heart rate about 30% above your resting heart rate( you don’t have to run non-stop just keep the heart rate up) then run for longer at 40 or 50% above your resting heart rate , as you get fitter you can go to twice the resting heart rate, but don’t for normal purposes let it go above about 180 bpm .
This is basically the reason why 45 and 60 minute gym sessions don’t seem to work very well, as far as the body is concerned that’s just a warm up

I have been doing turbo jam every day except saturdays, since August 1 2006. I do 45 minutes of cardio everyday and add strength training 3 days a week at night. I also eat under 1200 calories a day and drink plenty of water including Crystal Light. Sometimes when I look in the mirror, I look smaller in the chest area but then other times i look the same size. I just wanted to know if there are other people out there who have lost weight doing what I have been doing and how fast did they lose weight and also what are the first fat areas to disappear?

1. Doing cardio in the morning will burn 300% more fat than any other time during the day.
2. Not doing cardio at your heart rate will either burn sugar or not burn anything. Target heart rate depends on age mostly, and your doc can tell you what your target heartrate is. If anything you can get an idea of what your target heart rate by using this formula:
Fat Burning Zone = (220-Your Age) x (0.75)
That will give you a rought number, and if you keep within 8-10 points of it, you’re good.
3. Doing more than 40 min of cardio is over kill really.
4. Doing cardio any other time than morning before breakfast wastes 20 min of that cardio. It takes your body 20 min to start burning fats, so if you can’t do it in the morning, do it at least 2-3 hours after meals, and do some light weight training before that for 15 or so min or more if you want.
5. Having more muscle burns more fat. I’m not talking about bulging out, just a little tone, and a little muscle everywhere to look toned after you get all the weight you want off. 🙂
6. Your body needs a certain amount of calories, protein, carbs and even fats each day, so don’t cut that out completely.
7. Drink .6 ounces of water for each pound of your body weight. So Body Weight x .6 = how much water you should drink a day.
That’s the best way to do it, it will take a few weeks but you’ll start burning it off pretty fast and put one some muscle to have a very nice toned and slim body 🙂

Usually if you eat some type of lean protein at every meal, it will help you stay fuller longer. That helps with cravings as well as eating 5-6 small meals a day. Other than that, just try to limit yourself. If you totally deny yourself for a long length of time, you have a tendency to really overindulge when you eat the “forbidden” food again.

Not really. All you will do is get your heart rate up and then make it go right back down. You will need to do at least 30 minutes.

VYou need to do cardio! When I say that you have to work hard and get your heart rate up. So many people say they do cardio but they walk or job leisurely on the treadmill or elliptical. Running is the best way to shred excess fat (make sure you have good knees). It’s not about losing 2 or 3 pounds here and there because it is very easy to gain it back. You have to change the complexion of how your body functions. Consistency is the key. The more you workout your metabolism will burn fat at a higher rate. Eventually you want your body to work for you, not work for your body (if that makes sense). And if you want to lift and workout I recommend doing high intensity circuit workouts where you are doing an exercise one after another, to again, get your heart rate up and increase your fitness level (not be one of the those people we do a set, rest for 2-3 minutes and do another one). There is too much down time, that’s good for increasing strength but not overall fitness. Diet is just as important as working out!

I do not know if you are over weighted or not.

Try the following according to your present weight.

1) Nutrition:
Avoid or reduce fatty foods and sugar intake (watch your drinks there is a lot of sugar in many of them. Avoid or reduce alcohol intake. Avoid or reduce white bread, white rice, & pastry.
Have: fruit, veggies (by the ton), lean meat, fish, whole grain products, etc. And 2 liters of water a day.

2) Do cardio two times a week for 30 minutes.
Whatever you can do and like to do; walk, jog, cycle, swim, dance, etc. Just make sure you keep your heart rate up for 30 minutes twice a week.

3) Toning.
Get firm muscles, they will burn the fat in your body. Work them out twice a week.
From light weight to any other form of resistence exercise you can do and like: crunces, squats, push ups, sit ups, etc.
You need to feel taht your muscles have worked, taht they are tired, but not exhausted or in pain.
