How can my sister lose weight faster?

My sister and I started dieting at the beginning of January (like a million other people haha!) I’m 23 and trying to lose about 30 pounds. I can lose weight very easily and have lost 15 ,pounds so far and she’s trying to lose 100 pounds and hasn’t lost but 5! As far as I know she has been eating healthy and she’s put on most of that weight will pregnant with my two nieces. We go to the gym every night and she always does way more than I do. The gym doesn’t have many options because it’s in her apartments complex. She usually does the elliptical for a half hour and the treadmill all the way inclined on a fast walk for a half hour and sometimes does the little bike thing lol. Anyway, I feel like she should be seeing more results? She isn’t lazy or anything because she’s always running after the two girls. Anything she can do to make it come off better? I know it’s not something that happens over night but five pounds a month seems like nothing. I would love for her to get back to her normal weight and I know it would make her happy. Any advice I can give her? Thanks in advance!

It’s good to only lose 1-2lbs per week, but when you have 100lbs to lose, it will be coming off faster than that at first. She’s clearly still eating too much. Losing weight is 80% diet and 20% exercise. You can workout all day, but if you’re still eating junk, then you just won’t see much progress. If she has 100lbs to lose, it should be coming off pretty fast at first, but I can guarantee you that she is NOT eating as healthy as she says she is. It’s very easy to overestimate the number of calories you eat each day, so putting it all down so you can truly see what you’re eating is a great idea. If she REALLY is eating healthy and not losing, she should see a doctor to check her thyroid.

I would recommend you tell her about a website called My Fitness Pal or download the app. It’s a site for adults looking to lose weight and get healthier. It’s free to join and they tell you how many calories to eat based on your height/weight/age and how much weight you want to lose per week. It’s also great for connecting with other people who are also trying to lose and get healthier. She can add friends, ask questions, create a blog or you don’t have to do any of that. It’s a wonderful site.

Whats a good way to lose weight fast and not worry about weight rebound and please dont tell me excercise and eat healthy PLEASE BE SPECIFIC cuz im either skateboarding or playing soccer half the time and I try to eat healthy most of the time but what can I say? I’ve definitely got some tips for you, and I won’t just say “eat healthy and exercise” 🙂

That’s awesome that your active, that’s half the battle, other half is eating properly. To lose weight as fast as possible and do it in a healthy way is not as hard as people think. Just cutting SODA and sugary drinks from your diet COMPLETELY is just one awesome way to lose weight fast. That along with the other tips I’m going to share below and you will be on your way to easily losing the weight and keeping it off.

As cliche as it may sound you gotta eat your veggies. They are amazingly good for you, also raw nuts (almonds are best) fruits, and 100% whole grain breads instead of white flours (white flour is very bad for you, read up on it if you get the chance!) Try and stay away from fried foods and fast food as much as possible, and other empty calories and foods that provide you no nutrients, like ice cream/candy/cake etc. Common sense goes a long way with what foods to eat and how to be healthy, so use it 🙂

Building healthy eating habits and keeping the weight off in the long term is what you should really strive for. Also, make sure you don’t count calories, it can drive you CRAZY! Just eat GOOD calories, and when your satisfied, stop eating. Try to eat more meals a day and portion them smaller, it really is proven to speed up your metabolism and burn fat way faster. If you mix this in with the other things I’ve shared, you will be on your way to easily losing weight and keeping it off.

Just be persistent, set goals, make little changes and stick with them. You will get to where you want to be. You really have to want it, I did and I’m at my goal weight now. Is it possible to lose 80 pounds in 3 months if you weigh 295 pounds?

My friend wants to lose 80 pounds by new years and she weighs 295 pounds and I keep telling her that it’s impossible but she says she loses weight easily. She says because she weighs almost 300 pounds it would be possible and we made a bet (80 bucks), am I gonna lose? Is it really possible to lose that much because she’s really overweight?
I support her in her effort to lose weight and I’m gonna work out with her and stuff but I just don’t think it’s possible.
She is 5’8

If she’s 6 ft 9 inch tall, then 295 pounds would be normal for her height, would be impossible to lose 80 pounds. 4ft 10 inches tall, then 295 pounds is reaaal abnormal and could probably lose 80 pounds if she didnt eat anything for a week.
In other words, be specific about height and other stuff, like is she very muscular or fatty and so on.

I want to lose weight as fast as possible this summer. I don’t lose weight very easily; every time I try to lose weight, I just end up gaining it instead. Eat 5 small meals a day. 3 meals, and 2 snacks.
Here’s an example of a meal plan
Breakfast: white eggs and a fruit
Snack: apple with almond butter
Lunch: baked chicken with 1/2 cup brown rice
Snack: handful nuts
Dinner: salad with veggies and maybe fish

As for working out.. If u want to lose weight rlly fast go to the gym 5-6 days a week.
Just do cardio.. There are so many great work out online.
Try p90x.. It’s tough but it’s worth it and the results are amazing!!

It’s not the best form of cardio, but it’s fun and it tires you out. Try pulling some shapes up there to get your muscles going, and maybe throw in some jump rope or walking for simple more effective cardio. Any form of moving is better than none! 🙂
