Ive been on a diet for five days now. I eat 4-6 small meals. I work out a half hour everyday. I lose weight VERY easily and quickly. I lost 30 pounds, a pound a day, by drinking less soda. I’m currently 200 pounds. And I’d like to be down to 160 by June. What do I need to change? And how soon can I expect results? Thanks.

It really depends on the amount of calories you consume. You want your body to eat up more than you eat. However this doesn’t mean you should cut out food just eat healthier foods until you are satisfied. Also I would suggest a cardio work out for an hour each day. Running, swimming, cycling, brisk walking are all good exercises for loosing weight. I would say if you eat healthy and work out you shouldn’t have any problem loosing weight. However I would say that you might not reach your goal by june but again that depends on your body type. Also cut out high fatty and sugary foods altogether. Such as soda or chips. I am an 18 year old female freshman in college. I am 5’6 and weigh 195 right now. I would like to lose 55 pounds by the end of December (around 3 months). Don’t do it dangerously. Avoid pills, laxatives, barfing etc. The best way is to lose weight in a way you can continue the rest of your life. One of the luckiest things that happened to me was getting diabetes. I had to start counting my carbs. I’m only 5’2 and I weighed 190 when I started. I read the back of labels, read other things to make sure I stuck to no more than 60 carbs a meal. Meat and most vegetables don’t count in that, so when I was still hungry I’d eat vegies . I’ve lost 40 lbs. In 5 mo. (and would have lost more but had a relapse last month and also never got around to exercising which would have enabled me to lose more faster). And after awhile it became fairly easy because I got use to portion control. I wasn’t stuck on having to eat any particular thing, but if I wanted a milkshake for example, that would end up using up all my carb choices, so I learned to limit those. Also, choosing high fiber foods helps fill you up and clean you out before those calories can stick. Inexpensive, healthy and fairly fast. And it’s not a fad diet that in the long run puts more weight on you than you lose.

12% to 15% body fat is my guess.

I usually weigh about 155. But I gained 15 lbs from quitting smoking on January 1st.

I need to lose this weight. Does anyone have a workout plan or a diet plan? I like to lift weight, jump rope or jogging. I also like body weight exercises like push ups, pull ups, sit ups.

Sur eyou can, just make sure you don’t fry anything or use oils. Oil is worse than sweets. I would suggest adding a little fruit to the plan. Also, eat every three hours. 2oz protein and alternate either 1/2 cup fruit or 1-2 cups veggies. At supper time add some carb, like potatoes or rice. No pasta, corn, or carrots. Pasta is too concentrated, corn and carrots have too much sugar.

Looking for weight loss meal plans?

has anyone seen any meal plans or ideas that promote a healthy diet but also helps control weight. It would be even better if it helps loose weight. Nothing hard core, just a easy plan I can add some exercise to and feel and look better.
The meals don’t need to be fancy, but something like a weight watchers meal. I mainly need guidance on how to balence my meal types.

Oh and the last thing is I’m looking for something free. It’s the internet and I know everything is out there for free somewhere.

4 weeks ago I started a plan that entailed the following:

Breakfast: 2/3 Cup Nonfat Yogurt with berries

Snack (between breakfast and lunch): One Triangle Laughing Cow Light Cheese and an apple.

Lunch: Chicken Breast / With Salad and veggies

Snack: Triangle LCL Cheese and 1/3 Protein Bar

Dinner: Protein based main course (Fish, Pork, Steak, chicken breast) Veggies and salad.

I cut back on Caffeine, Beer etc and drink lots of water.

Lost 18 lbs to this point.

Good Weight loss Foods? Fast and Easy to make a must.?

I have decided to try to lose a few pounds but have no clue what I should be eating. I hate to and therefore never cook. I eat hot pockets for lunch and Mcdonald’s for dinner usually. So I need good fod ideas for my new weight loss plan. But it has to be fast easy stuff. Like Natural foods (besides all the fruits and veggies) and wrap ideas and what kind of wraps I should use. And if there are any processed foods that are less than terrible for me. And just for the record I am not a big chicken fan. Except for processes chicken slices which I am sure are not healthy :o) Any other tips you have are welcome. I really want to succeed this time. Excerise ideas would be welcome too as I plan to start one of those as well. I understand I need both healthy food and excersise to lose the weight and keep it off. That is why it is so important to me to make it as easy to fit into my lifestyle. So i’ll stick with it, so any loss will be for life.

I think that this is a battle you will face for a lifetime unless you decide to change your lifestyle. Hot pockets and McDonalds are not good food choices. You have to prepare your foods.

Simply eating fruits and veggies everyday require some thought. Go to and find out what you should be eating everyday. How you choose to prepare those foods is your choice- simple cooking techniques are easy to learn – and a salad with no-low cal dressing, a piece of fruit, and a container of yogurt, is as simple as anything to fix for lunch. Learning to eat fish is a lifeline to maintain weight loss.

Make sure you buy at least 3 servings EACH of fruit and vegetables for each day. No cooking involved!! I make sure I buy 21 pieces/servings of fruit every week.

I recommend at least two days a week of cardio. Try to not make those two days consecutive days of the week if you can, and try to work out on the same days of the week. There are different types of workouts you can try. I think jogging is a good one for beginners to practice. Swimming and aerobics are also good for losing excess weight. Start off easy, but gradually increase the difficulty of your workout. Some people like using treadmills because you can keep track of how fast you’re running – it’s easy to gradually increase the difficulty of your cardio if you can keep track of the workouts on your treadmill.

Drink lots of water, and eat regularly. Don’t starve yourself, because once you start eating again, you’ll gain everything back, trust me.

Eat lots of fruits and veggies, and if you eat bread, make sure it’s whole grain. White bread is pretty fattening. You can also eat lean meats, like fish, turkey and chicken breast.

Skip out on sweets, candy, sugary foods, chips, ice cream, cake, and cookies.

If you feel hungry, but don’t want to over eat, chew gum. It’ll keep your mouth busy and it tricks yourself into thinking your eating.

Cut out ALL soda! If you stop drinking soda, it helps you out a lot!
And don’t forget to exercise!

Try walking, jogging, jump rope, dancing, bike riding and swimming. Try exercising for 45-80 minutes a day.

Can somebody who never exercises lose weight easily if they start exercising?

I NEVER exercise unless walking around the house cleaning or walking around school counts. I eat lots of junk but i haven’t gained any weight in the past 4 years. Does this mean that if i started exercising I would be burning off that extra weight immediately?
