Carol asks…

In need of cheap, healthy recipes, for family weight loss and healthfulness.?

I’m home for the summer from college, and the one thing I hate about living at home is the fact that there are more bad, unhealthy food in the house rather than healthy food, and fruits and veggies. I’m on a weight loss journey that I’m trying to bring the rest of my family on. So I would like to find healthy recipes that have similar ingredients so they can be used numerous times in order to save money. money is a huge problem in our family which is why it seems to be easier to buy the grosser, unprocessed foods. I really need to convince my family to work harder, their so unmotivated. So delicious recipes will also be awesome.

Healthy smoothie recipes? Also weight watchers question!?

Im trying to lose weight and I know smoothies help promote weight loss so id like to make them. Does anyone have any healthy and easy smoothie recipes? The other day I bought a big bag of frozen fruit and plain fat free yogurt so If I can use those let me know. Also I am doing weight watchers and If you know can you tell me how many points your recipes are per serving? Thank you sooooo much in advance!!!

weight loss cardiff answers:

When you make smoothies don’t use milk in them, especially seeing as u’re on weightwatchers as well, because it’s more fattening. What I do is blend up one banana (2 points), some chopped up strawberries (no sure on the points for those), frozen fruit is great because it’s tangy and it makes it icey cold so I’d dd some of them in too. Once you blended it together, mix in a small yoghurt (fromage frais size but if you don’t have any, just use half a normal yoghurt or a few spoons of yoghurt if you’ve got plain fat free). To top the smoothie up use pure orange juice (just normal stuf out the carton) or apple juice…..or any juice you fancy really! Blend it altogether again to make it nice and smooth a there you have it πŸ™‚
Play around and see what you like. Most fruit is only 1 or 2 points with WW anyway so don’tworry about that.
