Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Mandy asks…

is there a weight loss pill that works?

i lead a very busy life between work/school/and ,my kids… i’m looking to shed a few pounds… but don’t have time to go to the gym.. it there a weight loss pill that will work?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Weight loss pills are like penis enlargment pills…… They don’t work. Most are a scam that exploit peoples insecurities and brings them down only to be brought back up with the realization that there’s a solution to the problem if they buy and take the pill. If you look at the commercials of some of these weight loss pills and it starts showing before and after pics.. If you focus on the bottom at those tiiiiiny letters that are shown for half a second… It clearly states the people in these before and after pics exercised AND dieted while taking the pill…. Was it the exercise and diet that made them lose weight? Or the pill? It’s like those pills or drinks that are supposed to make you test negative for drugs and the like… They say take the pill and then drink 8 full glasses of water and urinate frequently before the test….. Was it the pill.. Or the 8 tall glasses of water that flushed their system that made them test negative? :p

I understand you have a busy schedule but it’s in my opinion that the only true way to lose weight is through aerobic exercises (different from weight lifting/strength training) such as jogging and swimming and a diet of 2,000 calories. Anything helps :p if the kids are old enough to play at the park then next time you’re at the park rather than watching the kids play, play with them and run around :p

if i’m not mistaken (which i might be) it takes about 3,000/3,500+ calories to gain one pound and losing one pound is harder than gaining it. In all honesty, it shouldn’t be percieved as a weight loss regimen. It’s a lifestyle choice. Usually, once a person reaches their target weight they’ll relapse and regain it within a few months if it’s not considered a lifestyle choice. Sorry for the crummy spelling, im really tired.

Donna asks…

any actual results from weight loss pills?

for summer exercise, i go running every morning.. just looking to lose what i gained this winter..

does anyone have any success stories from any kind of weight loss pills? i’m looking at the mango pills and that kind of stuff..

weight loss cardiff answers:

Weight loss pills are basically a scam industry. I know that because I have experimented with a few different types. Truth be told if you are going to work out get energy supplements because they work better than any weight loss pill. GNC vitapacs are good energy supplements and by many are considered the best. Also changing your diet can help you lose weight surprisingly fast.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Hey, do you want to lose weight easily by doing nothing or get motivated to lose weight easily without even giving up half-way?

The key and answer to successfully do it is in Your Subconscious Mind.

The subconscious actually stores a multitude of memory patterns which will feed information to the conscious mind when activated. Data is never erased unless the subconscious mind gives that command.
For example, when you walk or drive to your destination, you do it automatically without being aware of it – that is your subconscious mind doing the whole process without your conscious mind.
The subconscious brain is very good at its job and works 24 hours a day on keeping us alive.

The subconscious controls and regulates involuntary functions of the body such as breathing, circulation, Metabolism, Digestion, hormone balance, etc.

So you may wonder.. How do you tweak or make your subconscious mind to lose weight easily? The answer is… Hypnosis!

Hypnosis is done by bypassing your conscious mind to your subconscious mind giving instructions and storing them successfully.
That is why people can quit smoking, feel extremely motivated, attain success easily, study easily and so on Successfully just after 1 session of hypnosis! Even faith-healing uses Hypnosis!

My friend tried hypnosis to lose weight. Initially, her weight was 198lbs and she lost 18.3lbs within 3-weeks! All by natural metabolism! And she never even change her diet but ate as normal!

You will thank me because I can guarantee you Hypnosis Works! You can just let your natural metabolism be high and Lose Fat Doing NOTHING effectively and immediately or be motivated to stop binge eating and exercise regularly without pain or laziness!

Mandy asks…

Is weight training or cardio better for weight loss for a female?

I’m a female in my early twenties that wants to lose 15 lbs. Is cardio or weight training better and why?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I’m going to suggest both, and here’s why: weight training will build muscle, and muscles burn more calories than fat – ALL the time, not just when you are using them. Cardio burns more calories while you are actually doing it, and you can run, cycle, cross-country ski or swim for a lot longer than you can pump iron. Also, cardio will improve your overall health more.

Some things which will help you maintain a healthy weight (see… for calculations which will tell you if you are at a healthy body weight, and will also show how you measure up against other young ladies of your age and height), are:

1) Build physical activity into your life-style: cycling and walking are great ways to get around whenever possible, swimming is a fun, all-round exercise, sports are also excellent and more fun than just “exercising”…. Of course you can also go to the gym, but don’t fall into the trap of depending upon gym time and activities to get enough exercise and physical activity!!

2) Cut out snacking….. Period. Eat at regular intervals: this is much healthier for your body, and you’d be surprised at how many calories snacks can add up to!!

3) Cut out junk foods – or at least minimize them. They add lots of calories but almost no nutrition. Soda pop is a big culprit, but pizza, white bread (yes, it’s a junk food – the vitamins they add to white flour are nutritionally almost useless), chips, burgers, etc.

4) Maximize the fruit, veggies, nuts and so on categories: find out which you like best and find tasty ways to prepare and cook them, and you’ll be more likely to eat more of them!!

5) Get enough sleep: this is important to losing weight and staying healthy all-round: when you don’t get enough sleep, your energy levels are low and you’ll be less likely to get out and do things: in short a sleep-starved person is often a lazy one!! Besides, the old excuse that you don’t have time for sufficient sleep (7 to 8 hours for most folks) is a false one: if you sleep well, you’ll be much more energetic and alert and you’ll get more things done in less time than you would if you skimp on sleep in order to “save time”!! Darkness and quiet are important for getting high-quality sleep. Keep your room cool at night, don’t hide your head under the covers (where you’re breathing in what you just breathed out….), and be sure to drink enough before you go to bed. A good shower followed by a nice shot of cold water also helps you to get to sleep!!

6) Drink plenty of water – more than you normally would: this will give you more energy, and will help your body function more efficiently overall. The color of your pee will tell you if you are drinking enough: it should be almost clear: if it is distinctly yellow you are not properly hydrated and need some more water. Sure you’ll go to the bathroom more often, but the increase in energy levels and the decrease in tension levels will make it more than worthwhile, trust me!!!

7) Eat a good breakfast, and a light supper. Breakfast gives you energy for the morning, and revs up your metabolism for the day. Without a proper breakfast you will be sluggish and not as energetic or alert. Breakfast foods should be ones which digest easily – this means bacon, hash browns and sausages are out while whole grains and yummy fruit are in!! Yougurt makes a good breakfast food too…. // A light supper will mean you don’t go to bed on a full stomach: a practice which is bad for your health since it impairs the quality of your sleep.

8) STRETCH properly and thoroughly at three times: 1) After a bit of a warmup, so you are not stretching cold muscles, 2) After your exercise session, and 3) carefully, just before going to bed, so you won’t be nearly as sore the next day. (and 4) whenever any of your muscles are tight.) // Proper stretching: a) choose stretches which effectively stretch the muscles you want to stretch out, and do them as instructed: i recommend having a couple of sessions with a personal trainer, and asking them to teach you about the basics of weight training and proper stretching.

A tip for your cardio: Do “interval training” instead of just going at the same speed all the time. This means going at it as hard as you can, for short intervals during your training: this has all kinds of benefits which you can Google – including burning more fat, faster!!

Wishing you all the best!!

Joseph asks…

So is this good enough to keep my weight off or at least keeping it constant?

I do 50-100 sit-ups and stretches almost everyday (at least 5 times per week)… Can this help to keep my weight off or at least keeping it constant? I am very depressed… Recently I have been gaining 1 kilo and i get so cranky everytime… Can anyone suggest any easy exercises to do at my home? I have not been losing weight now… I’m so sad…

weight loss cardiff answers:

This can be enough if you eat the right kind of foods.

To lose weight fast and effectively four aspects of life should be changed: what to eat, how to eat, behavior and activity level.

Here are fast tips that can help:

First: Fast weight loss composes of a multi-faceted technique that consists mindset, exercise, and in other cases, diet supplements. Begin by learning a diet food plan that can easily be accustomed with. Incorporate an exercise plan that allows even at least fifteen minutes a day like brisk walking, running, swimming, and dancing.

Second: Set realistic approaches. The ability to focus and have proper mindset enables someone on a diet to quickly lose those extra pounds. With discipline and proper mind set, a dieter will never be discouraged and lose focus.

Third: Listen as the body speaks. Each and everyone’s body metabolism reacts differently to different fast weight loss programs and plans. Try substituting one program for another to compensate the body’s reaction. Exercise program must be suitable to one’s body, as others are not able to exercise as rigorously as others can. If walking is all that can be done, then walk for this is proven the best exercise. Muscles burn more calories than fats so it’s also best to put on a little muscle and looking good too.

Fourth: Eat more fibers for it makes a person full sooner and stays in the tummy longer, slowing down the rate of digestion. A single serving of whole grain bread moves fat through the digestive system faster. Grains turn into blood sugar that spikes the body’s insulin level. Thus, making the body more energized and ready to tell the body when it should stop burning fats or start storing.

Fifth: Keep away from fried foods especially deep-fried as this contains a great amount of fat. Although fish and chicken appear leaner than beef, this white meat can contain more fat than when a beef is fried. It is recommended for those on strict diet to opt for grilled food as this does not have or contain less amount of fat after the food is cooked.

Sixth: Takes lots of fluid. Drinking at least six to eight glasses of water a day keeps the body refreshed. Since weight loss depends on how the body eliminates body wastes, the body must stay hydrated.

All in all, discipline and consistency is still the best practice and the key to a rapid weight loss success. Light dieting, workout, and right amount of supplementation applied in a regular way everyday will result in faster weight loss than having a massive action only to be followed a return to old habits as this would only lead to gaining more weight than when the weight loss plan has started.

10 Tips for Easy Weight Loss

Find out how many calories you need
Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day
Fruits and vegetables are packed with beneficial fibers, vitamins and antioxidants. They fill up your stomach fast so you feel full earlier. They are also low in calories and helps to keep your calorie count low.

Watch for Portion Size
One serving of pasta means 1/2 cup of cooked pasta. However, most restaurants serve a pasta dish with 4 servings of pasta!!! You do not need to finish and clean off the plate every time. You can simply ask to take home the leftover.

Do not Skip Meals
Eating small frequent meals help to balance your calorie intake throughout the day and also keeps your blood sugar level balanced. Instead of eating 3 big meals, try to eat 5 – 6 smaller meals throughout the day.

Go for wholesome fresh foods
If possible, purchase fresh foods and avoid package (processed) and convenient foods such as fast food. Packaged and convenient foods are often higher in sodium and fat content. Many people we spoke to are amazed that they can easily lose weight by packing a home-cooked lunch to work instead of eating out

Don’t be overly-restrictive
Everyone has his or her favorite treats. Simply allow yourself a little indulgence, but watch out for the frequency and the quantity. Having a small treat once in a while can be rewarding to your weight loss experience. Cutting too much of your favorite treats usually lead to an early relapse.

Understand Food Claims and Labels
A product labeled with a fat-free claim does not mean that it is low in calories. Similarly a product labeled as low-sugar or low-carb does not mean it is low in fat or calories. Always read the nutrition label on the packaging.

Watch for the sugary drinks
Juices, soda, cream & sugar in your coffee or tea all add up. Opt for drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. In addition to providing hydration to your body, it will also help you feel full.

Keep a food journal
Keeping a food journal helps you pin point your eating pattern and will enable you to easily modify it. If possible, have your Registered Dietitian review your journal.

Exercise, period
Most authorities recommend 30 – 60 minutes of physical activity a day to stay healthy. Also try adding weight-bearing exercises at least 2 times a week. This will help burn some of the unwanted calories.
You can eat as many fruits and vegetables as you want; just don’t eat the other things.
This diet may be too low-calorie to sustain long term. You should only do it for the suggested 10 days.
The weight that you lose is likely to be only water weight. You will probably gain the weight back when you return to your normal eating habits.

Lisa asks…

easy weight loss tips?

Let’s start off with the basics, shall we?
I’m thirteen years old. Fourteen in August.
I am 5’7- maybe a little over. Not 5’8 yet though.
And I weight about 135 lbs, give or take.
In the past few years, I’ve lost a lot of weight. I never tried to, but I just started eating a little less. I was a chubby kid. I didn’t intentionally try to slim down, it just happened.
So now I have a jaw bone and collar bone and its easy to find clothes. Usually a medium or size 5/6. I had a dress that the girl suggested to get a size small in, but it was a little tight, so I went with the medium. I’m just trying to give an overview of myself.
Anyways, I know a lot of people would say ‘You don’t need to lose weight, you’re great how you are!” But this is about me. My personal feelings towards myself. I’d like to lose some weight this summer. Maybe get down to a solid 130, or even 125. I’m aiming for a stomach that’s somewhat flat…
I’m not muscley, in case you’re wondering if that’s where some of the weight comes from. I’ve never been an athletic person. I was more into art and reading. Therefore, its difficult for me to just go outside and burn off a bunch of calories. The cravings, the exercise, its all really hard to adjust to without any plan. And I don’t want my mother to know I’m trying to lose weight, because she’ll get really worried. I’m not planning on stick-thin-model extreme dieting. Don’t worry. I know that’s unhealthy.

So I’m just wondering if any of you have easy tips on how to start losing weight? I don’t really want some 30-day diet plan. I just want tips on how to fight the cravings, and easy ways to excersise gradually, and anything that’ll help me. The big thing here is that it needs to be easy, convenient, and effective.

Everythings appreciated!
Please && Thankyou!!
Peace easy

weight loss cardiff answers:

Congratulations on losing the weight you already have! It sounds like you are at a good weight right now. So, focus on eating healthy several times a day. You must remember to eat regularly or your body will think its starving and will greatly slow down your metabolism–its a survial thing that goes back to primitive man. Have a glass before eating a meal. It will fill you up and you will eat less. Consider walking as an easy exercise. Size 5/6 is a good size. Being skinny is NOT a goal. Being healthy IS. By exercising 5 times a week (start with walking for 15 min. — that’s 7 min. One direction, then turning around and coming home, then get a drink of water) and choosing healthy foods 98% of the time it’s ok to have a treat once in a while. Water is definitately much better to drink, even over diet sodas & fruit juices. Get your fruit & vegetables by eating the whole variety. Read the labels, just because an item states its low in calories does not make it healthy. You must watch sugar (artificial as well as corn syrup) and fats. Focus on getting healthy & any fat will melt away. You can check out the web to find some specific exercises that don’t require purchasing equipment that will help you tighten up your stomach if it really bothers you. Any muscles you will help raise your metabolism which will also help burn fat. One website I like is written by a Nutritionist, Leanne Ely. Her recipes are easy and tasty and really varied. She also has healthy snacks. Check her out at Good luck. Summer is the perfect time to get started.

Daniel asks…

Weight Loss????

What is a quick and easy way to lose weight quickly but not have to spend money or go on extreme diets? I am going to camp in a few weeks and I don’t want to look really fat.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Hi Boo,

I think weight loss is the easiest thing if you follow relible diet regimen and if you have the mind to lose weight.

Congrats for your decision to look better and to take life in your hands.

Now about weight loss. You have to do 2 things:

1) Eat only good food and avoid all bad foods. Here is example of 1 week diet plan, if you follow it religiously you have to lose 1-2 pounds per week. Http://

I like this diet plan because it is healthy and balanced, you eat only goods foods and don’t experience any cravings.

2) Start to workout every day. Here is a page with free downloads of workout videos that you can use at your home and only thing you need is dummbbells (most of the videos you don’t need any equipment)

Now about quick – it is possible to lose 1-2 pounds per week but only if you eat good and exercises regularly – this is the only winning combination.

Now about easy – ones you have the proper motivation it could be easy, but if you think “I don’t want to workout, why I have to limit myself to these foods..” – it will be hard.

So, everything is in your hands and mind 🙂

I believe you have the right motivation to achieve your goals and finally you will have the body you want.

Wish you luck!

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Paul asks…

Can anyone help me solve this molality problem?

A 2.42 m solution of the solute diethyl ether dissolved in the solvent C4H8O is available. Calculate the mass (g) of the solution that must be taken to obtain 1470 g of (C2H5)2O.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Moles (C2H5)2O = 1470 g/74.123 g/mol=19.8

m = moles solute / Kg solvent

2.42 = 19.8 / Kg solvent

Mass solvent = 8.18 Kg

mass solution = mass solute + mass solvent = 8.18 +1.47 Kg=9.65 Kg

Maria asks…

How to determine lowest melting point?

So I have an exam coming up and I’d like to get some tips on how I can determine the lowest melting point. One of the questions I had on an exam before was:

Which if these should have the lowest mp temperature?
A) Diethyl ether
B) 2-methyl butane
C) N,N, Dimethyl ethylamine
D) Butyl amine

I know the answer is B, but how do we know that? Thanks in advanced =)
Awesome Aj! Thanks for your help =)

weight loss cardiff answers:

All of these compounds have London dispersion forces. LDF strength is respective to molar mass so the lower the molar mass, the lower the strength of the LDF and consequently the less energy is required to break the IMF and melt.

Steven asks…

How do you find a value for Kp?

You have 50mg of benzoic acid dissolved in 3mL of diethyl ether. This is extracted with 3mL of H2O.The ether layer is removed and dried yeilding 45mg of benzoic acid. What is the Kp value for the ether/water solution

weight loss cardiff answers:

Kp is partitioning coefficient: it is ratio of concentration in organic phase versus concentration in water phase. Since the volumes are the same in this experiment, we can take the ratio of masses: so Kp=45/5 = 9.
