Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Charles asks…

how can a teenager loose weight?

hey guys

so ye, im 14 and i desperately wana loose weight and heres why. i just started surfing and i am obsessed with it, now with surfing you have to wear a wetsuit and wetsuits have to be a snug fit so basically skin tight and because im fat it shows my flab so easily and i really dont like it.

so my question is how can a teenager lose weight, but first a little background about my weight and what it is caused by.

first of all, exercise is fine, i do at least 30 mins of cycling every single day on its own and i also walk placed, go on the trampoline and obviously surf. so exercise is pretty good. my problem is food. my problem isnt really controlling the small sizes and eating the right food like i eat alot of fish, meat, pasta, rice ect. but i have a MASSIVE sweet tooth, im not even joking. like i could eat nothing but sweets for the rest of my life. not only the fact i have a big sweet tooth but i am also addicted to sweets. i am also addicted to coke (coca cola) and fizzy drinks. and i drink at least 2 cans every day wich i know is not good. ive tried gradually cutting down on coke if tried going cold turkey. nothing has worked.

so, can anyone help me learn how to control my obsession with sweets and coke and give them up. i would rather not have to go to the doctor or the gym but if i HAVE to then i guess i will.

THANKS!

weight loss cardiff answers:

First thing to do is speak to your Doctor, at your age and with a developing body you should be careful with any diet.
I don’t think that diet or exercise is your problem, it’s the sweets. So you have got to ween yourself of them.
Coke and fizzy drinks come in a diet option. Cut up loads of carrots / celery / tomatoes and get some homos and Taramasalata, every time you want a sweet try eating some of that, before too long you will find that your sweet tooth is turning savoury.
If you want an incentive then think of your teeth, it is going to cost you a fortune ti fix all those cavities, not to mention the discomfort and a toothless surfer ain’t pretty.

Mark asks…

Why can’t I lose weight?

I’m about 5 foot 4 and I weight 120 lbs.
Now this isn’t that bad (it’s actually healthy on the BMI) BUT I’m a teenager under tons of peer pressure and I really want to get to 110 ~ 115 by summer >_<

Now, my problem is that I used to weight 130lbs and so I started running and eating healthy so I lost 10 lbs quite easily ;D
But then it suddenly stopped working. I stopped losing weight. This may be because my metabolism matched my daily calorie loss, but if so, what can I do? I even tried a super diet but it did NOTHING >:[

Please help, any advice would be fine. (Btw I’m drinking 8~12 cups of water/day if that helps)
Edit: I quit drinking soda from a few months ago and as for Juice I have to drink a lot of OJ w/ calcium since I’m lactose intolerant :[
But these days I started drinking 8~12 glasses of pure water ^^

weight loss cardiff answers:

12 glasses of water is probably unneeded. Especially if you drink a lot of juice to begin with. Make sure you are drinking water because you are either eating, exercising, or thirsty. Not just to drink it.

Take a close look at your eating habits. It may be fairly healthy, but if you still have that doughnut or danish every couple of days, substituting it with fresh fruit and a little whipped topping will likely save you an extra 1000 calories a week. Also, make sure you refrain from eating 3 hours before you go to sleep.

Incorporate new exercises into your routine. Running will only do so much. Full body cardio and light weight routines will help get rid of extra fat. Swimming is also very good Also, be sure to change your workout routine every month. Otherwise your body will reach a roadblock.

Don’t rely on any kind of diet pills or miracle shakes.

Hope that helps. Good luck. 🙂

Michael asks…

Do I have to lose weight?

I’m a teenager, 130 pounds or so and Im working out at home and in the gym doing crunches, benching etc. One thing I’ve noticed is that after some time, you could barely see my abs but I know they’re there cause if I pulled some of the skin on the bottom of my stomach down you could see them. I think I’m a little bit overweight and a lot of it is mainly fat =. How much weight do I have to lose to make my abs noticeable and make me healthy.(I get shortness of breath easily when working out)

weight loss cardiff answers:

You seem fine!!!
The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did….lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won’t help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don’t eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i’m going pretty well if i don’t say myself. 90 LBS isn’t anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. If you want anymore details, feel free to email me. Just please be patient for ppl seem to email me for advice on this, I will reply, don’t worry! ~Adia

Daniel asks…

What’s the easiest weight loss method you’ve ever tried?

For me, it was going to a local diet doctor (in Kansas, Oklahoma) and subscribing to some pills to the tune of $60 dollars a month. My appetite did not diminish– it disappeared entirely. I lost twenty pounds within a month. Every morning, I’d step on the scale and be a pound or two lighter than I was the day before. It was fantastic!

Unfortunately, I was not wise enough during that time to develop a workout regimine, and I gained it all back within two months when I stopped taking the pills. I’m thinking it’s time to go back…

Anyway, I wondered what success others have had with various methods? Has anything ever worked for you? What was it?

weight loss cardiff answers:

You didn’t gain the weight back because you never started exercising, you gained it back because you needed to eat. It’s easy to lose weight while you’re starving yourself and hyped up on drugs.
Losing weight takes time and losing 20 pounds in a month is not realistic. You didn’t gain it over night and it won’t come off over night. Just start eating healthy, getting plenty of fruits and veggies and exercise every day. A brisk walk is sufficient to start with, you needn’t sweat at the gym for 2 hours a day. You’ll feel better, the weight will start to come off and because you are changing your habits for good and not just temporarily, it will stay off.
Use the discover section and see what others have had to say. There are plenty of weight loss questions that have already been asked, so that means there are plenty of answer to study and create a plan from.
Good Luck

Who was involved in it and what was the result of the meeting?

weight loss cardiff answers:

You will probably get the best information by websearching it in German, as ‘Reichstag Zu Wurms’ (although it is sometimes also spelled ‘Worms’ even in German).

Here is a link to a very informative radio programme, from the UK, where several prominent academics meet to discuss important historical events:

Mark asks…

Why is the Diet of Worms famous in this history of reformation?

Involving Martin luther

weight loss cardiff answers:

I hope some of this helps

The Reformation.

“It appealed to the deepest devotional traditions of the Middle Ages, and it rode on a wave of a religious revival which affected not just the scholars but the masses.” Norman Davies.

It was started by men who were trying to keep the Catholic Church in one piece, who were trying their hardest to clean up the Church, when one part of the movement started to break away.

“What started as a broad religious revival gradually divided into two separate and hostile movements, later known as the Catholic Reformation and the Protestant Reformation.”

Blatant decadence in the Church had reached outrageous proportions. Europe was full of stories about Papal nepotism, promiscuous priests, simoniacal bishops, and most of all, the shear wealth of the Church.

The “harbinger of things to come” was Savonarola, (1452-98). He started a revolt in the 1490’s which, temporarily, drove the Medici from Florence, for which he was burned at the stake.. In Spain, the new school of theology at the University of Alcala produced the Polyglot Bible (1510-20). This religious revival coincided with a low point in the churches reputation.

In 1509, Rome was visited by the young Martin Luther who was shocked to the core at what he saw, and within ten years he found himself at the head of the “Protestant” revolt. Friar Johann Tetzel’s sale of indulgences in Germany brought things to a head, the Elector of Saxony, who was Luther’s Prince had banned Tetzl from selling indulgences in his territory. Tradition insists that it was on 31st October 1517, Halloween, or more correctly, All Saints Eve, that he nailed his 95 Thesis , or arguments against indulgences to the door of the Church at Wittenberg, thereby challenging Tetzel’s theological credentials. The Protestant Reformation snowballed from there.

Luther was excommunicated in June !520. He was the summoned to appear, under safe conduct, at the Imperial Diet at Worms by the Emperor Charles V in 1521. The Elector of Saxony spirited him away and hid him at Wartburg Castle. However, the ban pronounced by The Diet could not be enforced, this protest was turning into rebellion. Two outbreaks of dissent occurred in Germany, in 1522-3 the Imperial Knights, “feud”, and the Peasants War of 1524-5, the later of which Luther opposed, it ended with the slaughter of peasants.

The ideological revolt led by Luther took more definite shape during three latter sessions of the Imperial Diet. ( At Speyer in 1526, where they managed to insert the clause for princely liberty in religion, forerunner of the formula, “Cuius regio eius religio” (whoever rules has the right to determine religion.), again at Speyer in 1529, where the name Protestant come from, and at Augsberg 1530-31.( Check up on these dates, my notes are hazy.). The Protestant princess formed the armed League of Schmalkalden and from there the two, “camps”, were clearly defined.

Meanwhile other protests were taking place elsewhere in Europe, Zwingli (1484-1531) in Switzerland, (He was killed in a war against the five Catholic forest cantons that had split the Swiss Confederation. ) Karlstadt quarrelled with Luther and went to Basel. Muentzer((*)) (1490-1525) finished up being executed at Mulhausen, in Thuringia during the Peasants War. The first Christian fundamentalists, the Anabaptists, were a disgruntled set of Swiss Zwinglians. And were persecuted by Protestants and Catholics alike. They recovered as Mennonites.

The English Reformation was more politically driven. Henry VIII, initially because of the refusal of the Pope to grant him a divorce, and after previously denouncing Luther, had little religious motivation, but he gained a great deal of support from Parliament, and “immense material advantage”, by attacking the Church’s privileges and wealth.

1532 The Act of Annates cut financial payments to Rome.
1533 The Act of Appeals curtailed Rome’s ecclesiastical jurisdiction.
1534 The Act of Supremacy abolished Papal authority, making the King, Supreme Head of the Church of England.

“The direct association of Church and State, later called Erastianism, brought Anglicanism closer to Orthodox than to Catholic practice.”

Jean Calvin, (1509-64) was persuaded to take control of the church in Geneva in 1541, at the second attempt. Calvin founded the most widely influential branch of Protestantism, however, in matters of toleration he was no more flexible than the Inquisition or Henry VIII. (See the case of, “Servetus” (1511-1553)).

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Robert asks…

how can I lose weight without exercise?

Please dont say that I must exercise, I know I should be exercising, but I cant at the moment. So I need some tips, I’m currently 55 kg’s and about 5feet. Also, can you guys tell me your own weight loss experience without exercise. Thanks a bunch.

weight loss cardiff answers:

You can’t. Unless you starve yourself or take drugs.

Maria asks…

how can i lose weight without exercise or eating?

i want to lose weight without eating or exercising. and i want to lose 50 pounds before june. any suggestions

weight loss cardiff answers:

This is never going to happen hon.

There is no magic way to lose weight. And even if you decide to starve until June, you’ll pile the pounds back on once you start eating normally again (which you’ll have to eventually). There are the options of surgery and diet pills, but honestly, why be lazy and risk your health and life for something that can be obtained with simple life style changes that will pay off health-wise in the future?

You have to make a commitment to lose weight the healthy way, so it will come off and stay off. Start by reducing your calorie intake, and try to exercise for 30 minutes at least three times a week.

Otherwise stop thinking about how you can lose weight, because it’s simply not going to happen.

Donna asks…

How to lose weight without exercise? & What is a good diet plan?

I am under doctor orders not to exercise because of a fractured spine, however i wouldn’t mind losing a few pounds or so, maybe like 10? is there anyway to go about this without exercising?

Thanks in advance!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans.
