Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Steven asks…

share your favorite low fat weight loss RECIPE – easy ones please, i have kids and no time?

i’ll share my favorite with you,

you will need:
grilled chicken breast
1 can of tomatoes (i use tomatoes with basil and oregano)
1 box of pasta roni parmesan pasta (found by the boxed macaroni and cheese)
milk (i use fat free)
margerine or butter

take the grilled chicken breast and place in a pan
spoon (drained) tomatoes on top of the chicken breast
place in the oven on 350 untill chicken and tomatoes are hot

while chicken is heating, follow pasta intructions on the back of the box. instead of using 2 tbs of margerine use 1. It still taste just as good. Usually by the time the pasta is finished, the chicken is done. FOLLOW SERVING INTRUCTIONS WITH THE PASTA, OR YOU CAN REALLY GET IN TROUBLE WITH HIGH CALORIES. follow proper portion size this meal should be about 350 calories

-We buy bags of chicken breast and cook them on the grill all at once. The chicken freezes very well, and I always have grilled chicken on hand. It really adds flavor to low fat meals!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Honey…pasta roni is not even remotely something you should be eating if you want to lose weight. Instead…eat a veggie like green beans, peas etc.

William asks…

What are some easy healthy meals for weight loss?!?

I’m a teen and I need easy recipes to lose weight that I can prepare really fast because I’m busy with school any ideas?!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Watch the quantity of the foods you’re eating.
Increase on fresh fruits & vegetables.
If it’s heavy when you eat them, then it will remain heavy in your belly and hard to digest. Example: potatoes.

Oprah is a good example of trying the best diets & exercise money can buy, look at her now.

You can lose weight in 3 weeks or less if you put your mind & body into it.

Eat smaller portions of meat, (8 oz can be cut up into smaller servings), less carbo, no potatoes, rice instead, avoid fattening and baked foods. No going for seconds!

No cakes, frostings, whipped cream, butter. If you want ice cream, one scoop in a cone. No seconds! Eat as much veggies and fruits w/out syrup, about 5 servings a day. You can have a cookie a day, if you like cookies but with peanut butter or oatmeal & raisins. No big portions of muffins, croissants, etc.

No junk food. If you must, eat only a handful, not a bagful.

For salad, don’t use creamy dressing, don’t add fattening croutons. Make your own honey, mustard dressing, or viniagrette (sp), there are some Italian dressings that are really tasty, go to recipes online or Olive Garden and use their recipe.

Nuts are good for you, but at the same time they’re also fattening, so too much of anything is not good for you, also.

Robert asks…

I need easy healthy recipes for losing weight!?

I am 5’6 and 200 lbs. I am at my heaviest and I really want to lose weight. I am disgusted by myself. I have a really hard time sticking to a diet. I need some good tips on weight loss and some easy healthy recipes to try.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Try the no-flower, no-sugar diet. Just cut out any food with any kind of flower or sugar listed in the ingredients, including corn syrup. It’s much healthier than the Atkins Diet, and if you’re really craving carbs, just eat rice or oatmeal. Sugar substitutes are also fine. The diet works quickly, and it’s very possible to keep the weight off. When you’ve reached your goal, just slowly add breads and sugar back in, and keep exercising.

Try this workout and other workouts by Jillian. Alternate them on different days to achieve maximum results. You might not notice too dramatic of results, but it depends on how much you have to lose. And yes you can lose weight in one week. It is safest to only lose about 1-2 lbs per week. So make sure you keep your goals realistic! Consult a fitness professional for more tips and information! They may want to analyze your body composition to construct a fitness plan that is right for you.

Whenever you can, lean against a wall with your hands flattened against the wall and in such a way that your face is very close to the wall. Then use you hands to push your body away from the wall. Do these two or three times at a stretch.

Lose weight one week gain weight the next?

Starting weight 190.8. I loss 3 lbs week-1, 187.8. I gained 4 lbs week-2, 191.8. I do not understand what is going on with my body. I diet every day and I exercised 4-5 times a week both weeks. Exercise includes a mixture of cardio, kickboxing, weight training. How in the world did I put on 4 lbs by the second week?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Weight fluctuates for all kinds of reasons. You need to look at the long term picture. Weight loss is an overall process. You need to think about many factors. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.

Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few additional small changes – walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.

Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can’t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate – in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don’t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.

Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.

Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.

An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Jenny asks…

Are weight loss programs good for you?

My friend is trying Jenny Craig , I told her that health eating is much affordable then going to a weight loss program . Is healthy eating better then weight loss programs? And why ?

weight loss cardiff answers:

You just need to give her a swift kick in the **

Mary asks…

How do I know which are the best weight loss programs?

I’m trying to choose a weight loss program but there are so many I don’t know which works and which don’t.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Choosing the right weight loss program can mean the difference between just wasting your money and actually losing weight.

There are so many programs out there from Jenny Craig to the Atkins diet and even the Chuck Norris total gym.

There are a few things you want to look for.

1.Do they have a diet plan that helps you create meals.
2.Do they have an effective exercise program.
3.Do they teach you how to keep the weight off.

Finding one that is legitimate is also tough. Here’s a link to an ehow article that talks about choosing the best weight loss programs and a couple of others that talk about weight loss.

Laura asks…

Does anyone know of any good weight loss programs, diets or pills?

Im a mom of 2 and i know i am about 100lbs overweight. I have no reason to be this big. I have excersice videos but I loose like 2 to 3lbs and then i gain it right back. So i was wondering if anyone knew of any good weight loss programs, diets or pills? I saw the ad for the HCG drop and I was also wondering if anyone knew if the drops were good. I also want the weight gone by the fall I plan to have a wedding then. Thanks and serious answers only.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Are you using the drops?
A 500 calorie per day diet is considered anorexic. Mix it with a hormone from pregnant women’s urine and you get a miracle diet!
All over the counter hcg products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011. Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real hcg in them but most a similar synthetic hormone. I was in GNC last week. They carry three brands of hcg drops and not one of them has any hcg in them. The well trained salesman even admitted it when I mentioned it. They contained “similar hormones” or amino acids.
Anyone that lost weight especially with the drops did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The hcg acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
The only approved use for hcg is to increase fertility in both men and women.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
The doctors exploiting this benign hormone with the ability to prescribe injections can’t even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant.
Neither explanation justifies the weight loss in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO hcg in them that still lost weight. I am confident the hcg diet has a 95% failure rate just like every other controversial diet plan out there.
By the way, the expensive “clinical injections” are not covered by insurance since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn’t want to get an “all cash” practice going?
Check out these clips before going further. Just aired a few months ago.

So the question is are you willing to risk your health with an extreme diet treatment based on testimonial evidence as opposed to clinical research evidence, and the statements from doctors in this all cash business?

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Chris asks…

Any ideas on good diet plans for me?

I’m 18, 6’3″, 225lbs. I’m looking for a good diet plan (not necessarily diet) to lose some fat while maintaining my weight by exercising and putting back on some muscle. I’m in generally good shape but I’ve been out of commission for a few months now and have put some weight on. I need a pretty strict plan that will help me achieve my goal in roughly the same time I put the weight on. Any ideas, specific plans, or general rules you can suggest would be awesome.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Plenty of fruit and vegies. High protein gives you energy and stops you snacking. Just cut out rubbish and eat three good meals and you will be fine especially if you are exercising as well.

Donna asks…

I have Crohns Disease and would like to diet. Does anyone have any diet plans specifically for this?

I have Crohns Disease and seem to have put on about 4 stone due to having to take steriods on and off. I would like to diet but find that alot of diet plans focus mainly on fibre related products which I can’t eat. Can anyone help, please?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Cant help, but my advice would be to see your doctor and ask for a referral to a dietician.

The treatment for Crohns causes other health issues (like wiight), and these should also be addressed as part of the treatment.

Laura asks…

Vegetarian Diet Plans HELP I am a vegetarian and need help finding a diet that works?

I am a vegetarian so it is hard for me to find actual diet plans. I was wondering has anyone tried nutisystem and do they have a vegetarian diet and does it work

weight loss cardiff answers:

I believe nutrisystem does have a veggie plan, but diet systems like that do not work in the long run. You need to learn how to create meals for yourself, not have some company pre-make them for you. You need a lifestyle change, not a diet.
